who is bread?

Breadmower (or "Bread" for short) is an IT guy living somewhere in the middle of England, who splits his time between working as a sysadmin, working as a Microsoft trainer, developing web sites, and programming. He'd love to say that this is fleshed out by him playing in a local sports team, being a avid rock climber, or accomplished guitar player, but that's simply not true. He just does IT stuff, but is apparently quite good at it. Alright - in the interests of making him sound like a well-rounded individual, let's say that he's a keen cyclist and enjoys reading. No doubt you have that lie on your CV too.

He doesn't have much of an ego, and finds it a little difficult to write "Who am I?" pages for sites, so this will have to do for the moment. Also, the design of this page is rather simple, but he feels that he should at least get something up, as the site's been empty for far too long.

Wondering what's with the colours? Bread makes it easy for people to know what role he's currently working in by wearing different suits - this colour scheme is based on his IT Training suit. No, really - if he was wearing black, he'd be in sysadmin mode. If you ever watch Pointless on BBC2, you may also notice that the brown suit is also used for TV appearances.

what's bread done?

Whilst everything that Bread does is IT related, there is just a little variety...

web development

Normal people watch TV in the evenings to relax. Bread codes. Two of the sites that he's working on at the moment are; Codex - an online codebreaking logic game, and a community blogging system. He's also recently got into Facebook development, and is developing a real-time, head to head version of Codex to be played over Facebook.

systems engineering

Bread is an MCSE, MCDST, MCITP and MCTS:SQL - looks like a bad draw from a Scrabble bag there, but it basically means that he knows a lot about Windows Server, and various associated technologies. Until recently, he's been working as a Network Manager at an educational establishment, but is now available for systems engineering consultancy.

training

As well as an alphabet soup full of Microsoft qualifications, Bread is also an MCT and teaches Microsoft courses from time to time. His students seem to think that he's OK, as in his official Metrics That Matter feedback, 97% of his students said that they were "Very Satisfied" with him as a trainer. Not too shabby, eh? If you're a Microsoft CPLS / ITA or a business looking for IT training, then Bread is available for the delivery of either Microsoft Official Courses or custom courses.
